October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying affects not only children, but adults in the workplace, and college students. Nearly 50% of college students reported being bullied or cyberbullied by a fellow student or a professor, or being the perpetrator themselves, according to: http://health.usnews.com/health-news/college-students-bullying Everyone plays a role in bullying prevention. Three things* to start with are:
• Spending meaningful time discussing how to resolve problems with your children/students/or coworkers
• Focusing on strengths, emphasizing positive possibilities, building bridges with others
• Present your best self, be a role model/support to others, and address bullying immediately by open discourse
